How To Order Your Portrait

Step 1:

Email me to discuss your requirements

If you want you can attach a copy of the photo you have in mind, in fact feel free to send me as many photos as you like and I’ll happily take a look at them.

If you can’t email your photo I’ll send you my address and you can post it to me.

Step 2:

When we’ve discussed your photo(s) and requirements, and are both happy, I will begin work on your order

Step 3:

Once complete I’ll e-mail you a specimen of the portrait for your approval

Step 4:

Once you are satisfied, I’ll send you an invoice. As soon as payment is received I will send your portrait by recorded delivery safely packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube. The whole process should take about 2-3 weeks.

About Your Photos

Source photos need to be clear, well posed and lit etc, ideally taken from not too far away and with natural relaxed expressions. School photos are usually ideal. Photos should be sent as jpg files.

It is important that photos show the subject accurately and in a way that you wish them to be seen on the finished portrait, as I can only work from the photos I’m sent.

Separate photos can easily be combined into a single portrait. With a multiple portrait it is often better to have individual photos of the subjects taken quite close up with relaxed ’normal’ expressions, rather than one photo of them in a group as this is normally taken from further away and has less detail.
